Michael and I went to Miami for my 30th birthday this year! It was such a fun trip to take as a couple. We were able to go to the spa, so many great restaurants, the pool, the beach. It was amazing! Here are some of details of the trip!

Where we stayed…

We stayed at the 1 Hotel in Miami! I have stayed there in the past and was there in the fall with my mom and sister. It is a really nice property. They have a beautiful pool area overlooking to the ocean. The property also has seven restaurants/bars! So if you want to stay somewhere where everything is right on property too, this is a great option.

Dining

We had dinner at so many great restaurants in Miami. The options are endless for any type of food you would want. We tried Mila, Pura Vida, and Cecconi’s Miami Beach.

Cecconi’s Miami Beach: We had amazing Espresso Martinis, the Ahi Tuna Tartare, Burrata, Spaghetti Lobster, Agnolotti del plin, truffle & parmesan fries. It was such a great meal and definitely one of my favorites.

Pura Vida: Pura vida was a great little lunch spot in Miami. It was so fresh and had great options. I had a Mango Smoothie and Avocado Toast.

Mila: This was definitely one of my absolute favorite restaurants. The vibe, the food, everything was on point! We had an amazing Margarita Verde, the Eel avocado roll, spicy hamachi roll, and miso-marinated chilean sea bass. Everything was amazing!

Sunlife Organics- There are several locations of Sunlife Organics across the U.S. and I love their smoothies. Some of our favorites were the Blue Majik, Million Dollar Smoothie, and their Matcha Latte.

What we did

Most of the days we would spend by the pool at the 1 Hotel! Their pool is so pretty and overlooks the ocean. We had great food there and read in the lounge chairs. We also went to the spa at the 1 Hotel. It was so nice! We really enjoyed it and highly recommend.

Other than spending time at the pool and spa, we also did a little bit of shopping. We went to the Fashion District and Brickell area. Both had amazing shopping and was a nice area to walk around.

Some Miami Shopping- What I got

The holidays are such a fun time for parties and events whether it is an office party or gathering with friends! I always think it is the best time to add a little fun and sparkle to my wardrobe and the outfits are so fun to put together. Below, I have some ideas for outfits that are casual and some that are more dressy. Perfect for any event you have this holiday season.

I know we may have just gotten through Halloween, but the holidays are right around the corner now. I usually put this guide up pretty early but with shipping delays this year I wanted to make sure there was even more time for you to shop before Christmas! I put together a list of so many items that the women in your life will love! These items are pieces I love and would be such a special gift. I think personalized items always make it feel extra special as well! One of my favorite items is the Stoney Clover personalized duffel bag! Their items are such good quality and I love Shop everything linked below!

This past week I helped throw a baby shower for one of my good friends! It was a small shower and we did it at night as a dinner and it was such a lovely evening. I used some great local vendors to make the space baby shower ready for Sam. I got this amazing light up letter sign from Alpha Lit Nashville. They also did my sign for me when I brought Rocco home from the hospital. They are so great to work with and it was a great touch outside especially since the shower was in the evening. Next, I used Cheryl’s Flowers in Franklin to make these gorgeous fall bouquets. They were gorgeous and really brought the inside to life and were perfect for a baby boy shower. One of my other favorite parts was the balloon wall! It was beautiful and the perfect backdrop for photos for the evening!

It’s that time of year again! The Sephora Holiday Savings Event is here! I put together my top 15 picks from the event that I am loving this year. My favorite things to buy during the event, are items that I know I use daily. This is a great time to stock up on all the items that you really love. For example, I like to get any of my serums, moisturizers, foundation, concealer during the event. Also, if there are any bigger items you have had your eye on for a while, then now is a great time to get these items. One item in particular that I have been LOVING is the Dyson Airwrap– it is seriously worth the investment (in my opinion) and now is a great time to grab one. With the holidays around the corner, the Sephora Holiday Savings Event is the perfect time to stock up on gifts for friends and loved ones too! There have been so many shipping delays so shopping early is a good idea this year! The code for the event is YAYHOLIDAY.

Now is also a great time to get a fragrance you have been eyeing! I have been loving the Mugler Alien fragrance lately. Also on my list are foundations I am loving like the Givenchy and Fenty beauty! For glow, I have been using these dew drops and the Iconic London complexion booster– the make your skin so luminous! For blush, contour and bronzer- the Hourglass bronzer, the Charlotte Tilbury liquid contour wand and the Laura Mercier blush have been my faves! Lips I have been wearing Iconic Nude to line my lips and top it with the Fenty lip shine! All 15 products I love are linked below!

We are so excited to show you our latest venture, our new rental property here in Nashville, TN – Good to Be Home Nashville. We love Nashville and thought it would be amazing to have a rental property here for visitors to stay. It has been so fun designing this space to be a warm and welcoming place for our guests. The property is four bedrooms and sleeps 12 people, so it is perfect for families, bachelor/bachelorette parties, friend trips, or extended stays. We hope you enjoy this tour of Good To Be Home! You can book a stay here! Watch our youtube video here!

Living Spaces

The living room definitely has modern design features but it but the colors and accents make it warm and inviting. The couch in the living room also pulls out to a bed for even more sleeping space. This room sits beautifully off of the kitchen and we love the flow of the green throughout this main area of the property.

The Bedrooms…

The property has 4 bedrooms, the first being on the lower level. We outfitted this room with a daybed that pulls out to a trundle bed. That way, it leaves the room quite open and also makes a great office space. The next level has another bedroom off the kitchen with a queen bed. This room has such a light and natural vibe to it and will be a perfect retreat during travels. The master bedroom is on the third floor and I love how this room turned out. Crisp whites, touches of black accents, jute and a fiddle leaf fig to liven the room up. Down the hall is the last bedroom. This is another queen bedroom and has a modern rustic theme- the cowboy hat art is one of my favorite touches.

Off of this room we have a patio outfitted with furniture and perfect for happy hour on a beautiful Nashville evening. Another favorite part of the room is that we have a cute photo wall for pictures with your friends or family! We hope you enjoy all the fun details of this space as much as we do.
