Our home tour continues with an inside look at our living room design! This space we knew we wanted to make really open and bright with natural accents. Since you spend a majority of time in the living room/kitchen area we wanted this space to be perfect! We love how it turned out. The neutral colors with hints of black and green really make the space super inviting. Keep reading to see some of my favorite pieces!

The living room definitely has modern design features but pieces like the chairs, the woven coffee table, and accents, really make it feel warm and inviting. The chairs are absolutely amazing, very cozy but still look modern. They are from Nickey Kehoe but I found a similar version from Target, linked here. The couch, is so comfortable and we love the accent pillows that Clare (our designer) chose for the space. Another item we loved for this room is our Samsung Frame TV. These are really an awesome TV as you can customize the border of the TV (we chose the light wood) and then when you’re not using the TV you can pick any art to display on the screen so that it isn’t an eye sore in the room. We are so happy that we got one.

The Details…

The accent pieces for the living room are so fun. The lamps are a unique feature that are on the modern side, as well as these amazing credenzas on either side of our fireplace. The clean, sleek look of everything came together so nicely. Another fun piece is our collection of polaroids. These are all cute pictures of our family when we moved in to the house so we love having these memories on display.

Thanks for reading about our living room tour! We hope you liked it. And as always a big thanks to Clare Kennedy and her team for their amazing work!

We moved to Nashville a little over a year ago, but we recently finished decorating the house with our interior designer, Clare Kennedy. Our kitchen is one of our most used spaces and we love the way it turned out. It is very bright, light, and fresh and we love the woven textures throughout the kitchen design. One of our favorite features are our hanging light fixtures. They bring such a warm feel to the space. We hope you enjoy this home kitchen tour! All the items linked are either the exact item or a close match!

The barstools are from Studio McGee and I really like the look of them. They are a mix between modern and natural that balances out well. The countertops were so fun to design as well. Most of those countertop pieces are from Target or Amazon. For decor, I love the look of a wooden cutting board as an accent piece as well as decorative bowls with bright fruits to liven up a space. We also used our open shelving to add to the design as well. I added a sea glass colored vase, a cute pitcher and some wooden beads as well as our cookbooks. By our sink we created a little area for some of our more practical kitchen items like a pretty soap dispenser, paper towel dispenser, a candle, our counter spray that smells absolutely amazing (linked here) and a faux plant. The touches of greenery around the kitchen add a nice pop of color to the very neutral space.

Our Coffee Station

We use our coffee maker everyday! This Nespresso machine is so good and it makes the best drinks. We thought it would be a nice detail to put a little coffee station next to the coffee machine. It is also perfect for when company comes over. The stoneware mugs are from Target and I love the natural look of them. The creamer is from Amazon and is also in the same stoneware style. I found these cute glass canisters from Target and they have them in several different sizes. You could really store anything in them in the kitchen or even bathroom.

Our Dining Room

I really love how our dining room turned out. With the rest of the house decor being pretty light and airy, I love the darker wood touches and added black in the accent pieces here. Everything was sourced and designed by our interior designer Clare. The chairs I really love with the cane details and black accents and they look beautiful with the table. The light fixture is from Nickey Kehoe and is a really unique piece and focal point for the room. I will link a similar light option here! Below the table we have a really neutral rug called the Alterno Rug, that keeps things muted and lets the decor speak for itself. The art on the back wall is really unique and I really liked how it was abstract and just flows with the whole room. The artist is Kader Boly and you can find the exact piece here, but here is some more neutral abstract art.

It’s In the Details…

Bonus: Bedroom Hallway

We love how this hallway turned out. We lined it with a gallery wall on both sides and put all of our favorite pictures in them. These frames are really big and fill up the walls so well. To achieve the same look, try these frames from Pottery Barn!

I hope you enjoyed this tour through our kitchen! This is one of our favorite rooms and we really love the way everything turned out, thanks to Clare Kennedy!

I love to start off my morning with a workout! Even if it isn’t super long it is a good way to start off my day with some endorphins and feel accomplished right away! There have been some great workouts on Instagram lately and so I have been picking some of those to do for my summer morning workout routine.

Can we all agree that wearing a cute workout outfit really helps motivate you to workout? The sports bra and shorts I am wearing is super comfortable and I am loving biker shorts right now! A couple other sets I like are linked here: Top Bottoms | Top Bottom | Top Bottom. My tee is one of our archived designs from my store shopgoodtobe.com. Check it out for lots of cute loungewear! My white and neon sneakers are my favorites right now, APL has great tennis shoes!

In terms of the workouts I do, I like to do the Melissa Wood Health videos. A lot of them use minimal weights or no weights which is really nice to be able to do it from anywhere you are! I just lay out my yoga mat and it works perfectly to have a little cushion on the wood floor! There are also a lot of videos that are shorter (around 20-30 minutes) which are perfect for a summer  morning workout routine (especially when you have a toddler)! You can check out all my at home workout essentials in this post here!

Gallery walls are so beautiful and I have loved seeing them sprout up around the Internet lately. It is a great way to showcase a lot of family photos all in one place while still creating a nicely designed space. We filmed a video about how to create a DIY gallery wall and you can check it out here. Instead of ordering a whole kit, we ordered the frame set we liked, white matting, and then manually measured and hung the frames. This will save a lot of money as the gallery wall kits can be super expensive!

We decided that a nice neutral gallery wall would be the perfect addition to our home. We wanted to originally put them in the playroom or above the couch but decided to put them in the entryway as it would fill that wall space nicely. Additionally, we knew we would want to have enough space to show off the pictures and space them out properly. So, we picked these frames from IKEA linked here, because we loved how the frame was super neutral and large.

For the matting, I created the look myself. Deciding to create a DYI gallery wall was definitely the way to go. We picked matting that would create a lot of white space for our 5 by 7 photos. We wanted there to be a lot of white surrounding each picture because it gave it a very nice clean look, which was exactly what we were looking for in this space. I bought the matting from Amazon. It came in whole sheets, the size of our frames, but without a hole in it for the photos. So, I just used double-sided tape to tape the photo into the middle of the matting. Then we inserted the matting with the photo into the frames. It was pretty easy to do!

To hang the photos, we measured out on our wall where to place each of the frames. We hung them from left to right and top to bottom. This part takes a little patience!

Then you are done, and have a beautiful gallery wall to enjoy!
